Although Dengie, a leading horse feed manufacturer, already had an online presence, the existing web site was outdated and the information it contained was very hard to find. Dengie also found it difficult to connect with their customers directly, as most of their business is achieved via wholesalers.

We designed a new site with a completely new information architecture for increased usability, and a fresh, contemporary design which would provide a stronger appeal to Dengie's audience of predominantly young, female horse owners.

To allow Dengie to communicate directly with its customers, we developed the Dengie Club which visitors could join via the web site.

The Club allows visitors to upload details of their horse and to set reminders for feed, vet visits and other aspects of horse ownership. Other club benefits include a regular e-newsletter as well as monthly competitions and special offers.

After its launch, the Dengie Club exceeded initial targets and has attracted a large, active membership and a loyal readership of the Club Newsletter - with one recent promotion being sold out within one hour of the eNewsletter's broadcast!
