Hyundai charged us with developing a web site for their new Coupe model, with a brief that required us to inject some desire into the marque. Our solution was to pick up on the favourable comparisons made with a Ferrari in the motoring press.
Our designers used large ‘hero’ shots of the car together with close ups on intricate design details to “fetishise” the car, thereby instilling a sense of passion and desire.
On a more practical note, customers had to be able to locate their local dealer to test drive the car! We developed a dealer locator system from scratch which identified the nearest dealer by postcode or town. In addition, the locator considered natural objects – such as rivers or lakes – and altered it’s results accordingly.
Not only did this solution deliver a better customer experience, it also reduced running costs, being more cost effective than the system that it replaced. This fulfilled the brief of increasing value for Hyundai, as well as delivering a better service to Hyundai’s customers.
