UHY Hacker Young

UHY Hacker Young is a top 20 accountancy group based in the city of London and initially appointed us to redesign and re-architect their web site in 2004.  We redesigned the web site with a creative approach informed by their existing corporate guidelines. We defined their target audiences and re-structured the content of the web site and developed a user friendly navigation to meet the needs of these users. We specified a new CMS and migrated all the content to the new system. We specified a new hosting solution for them to meet their needs now and in the future. We are still working with UHY having re-designed their web site two further times, with the most recent update launched in October 2011. We have also rolled out web sites for their regional and international members, as well as developing an intranet for global use.

When UHY Hacker Young asked us to develop a graduate recruitment solution for them, we suggested that we should develop a completely separate,  self-contained web site as the target audience and the messages that we wished to convey were significantly different to the audience for their corporate site.

We developed a fresh, contemporary design for the site which combined with ‘day in the life’ profiles of real graduates. This focus on individuals allowed us to communicate with the target audience with a ‘voice’ that would not compromise the corporate voice of the parent site, better connecting with a younger audience and helping to present UHY Hacker Young as a great place to pursue an accountancy career. The site allows graduates to complete their application form in stages online at any time of the day. Once completed, the form is error checked and sent directly to the HR database, significantly reducing the administrative overhead for the personnel department.
